Electrical Upgrades

In the world of ever-evolving technology, ensuring the electrical system in your home meets modern standards is vital. Not only does this optimize efficiency, but it also protects you from potential hazards. Mr. Electric provides unparalleled service in handling electrical upgrades, ensuring your home's electrical system is safe, functional, and ready to perform.

Why Electrical Upgrades are Necessary for Your Home

Property owners sometimes overlook the importance of electrical upgrades, focusing more on aesthetic improvements. However, updating your electrical system is extremely important. It promotes energy efficiency, reduces the risk of electrical fires, and accommodates new technology and appliances. The increased demand for electricity, due to the influx of smart devices and appliances, requires a powerful and efficient electrical system. Upgrades also enhance your home's resale value, demonstrating to potential buyers that the house has been well-maintained and cared for.

Signs That You Need an Electrical Upgrade

It’s important to know when your home might need an electrical upgrade. Here are some things you should keep an eye out for:

  • frequently blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers
  • dimming or flickering lights
  • buzzing noises from outlets
  • outdated two-prong outlets
  • reliance on extension cords for daily use

These are clear indications that your system is overburdened and in need of modernization. Ignoring these signs can lead to potential hazards, such as fires and electrocution.

What to Expect During an Electrical Upgrade

The process of upgrading an electrical system is a detailed and often difficult task. Our professional electricians will start with a comprehensive assessment of your current system, identifying areas of concern. Following this, we might replace old wiring with new, safer materials, upgrade your electrical panel to accommodate higher capacity, or replace outdated outlets and switches with modern, safer alternatives. Rest assured, our top priority is maintaining minimal disruption to your daily routine during this process.

John was on time, explained the issue I was having, offered me a couple of options, and then repaired the switch that was giving me problems, following my preferences of the choices he had given me.  He was pleasant, professional, and did a great job.  Would not hesitate to  use Mr. Electric again!

Austin, electrician and his teammate we’re great! Both were punctual, courteous, and very informative in explaining the situation and their recommendations to replace a bad breaker in our panel.  There was NO frivolous attempt up-sale to items we didn’t need and they were straight to the point honest in their recommendation. In the end, I would described the customer service Austin and his teammate provided me as, AWESOME! Being a new home owner, I am glad I have found  this company and will be using them any future electrical needs!

Outstanding communication and very professional service.  I would highly recommend Mr. Electric.  Received both e-mails and texts on appointment to include a photo and short bio of the actual electrician (Brad Mason) who would be doing the work.  Wish all home service providers did the same.  Brad was on time (actually a few minutes early).  He installed 30AMP breaker and associated RV plug in our garage.  To avoid any sheetrock repairs it was necessary for him to drop the line to the house electric panel through a wall with foam insulation, with very limited head/body clearance for him to work.  No mess left behind from the actual plug installation on another wall.

Rick from Mr. Electric arrived when expected and quickly diagnosed the problem.  He recommended a solution and gave us a proposal for solving the problem.  We asked when he could do the work and how long would it take.  He said he could do the job that day and it would take 4 or 5 hours.  The price was reasonable, and we told him to get started.  He did a very good job, neat and within the estimated time.  The invoice amount for the job was was the same as the proposal amount.  We are planning on having Mr. Electric and hopefully Rick do more work in the near future to upgrade our home's 50+ year old electrical system.
